CAPE MAY FOOD & WINE CELEBRATION
From September 12 to 21, food, wine and culinary delights will be presented at the Cape May Food & Wine Celebration, presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC). Winery tours and tastings, a beer-tasting dinner, Harvest Food & Wine Tasting, luncheons at some Cape May restaurants, Chefs’ Dine-Arounds and more will be featured. On September 21, the last day of the celebration, A Taste of Cape May will be held at the Cape May Convention Hall, featuring local restaurants, artisans and craftsmen displaying food- and wine-related merchandise: 1 to 3 PM; $30. EARLY BIRD AND LATE BIRD SPECIALS
Whether dining early or late, the following promotions are in effect till September 29 on Mondays:

Ming Pan Asian Cuisine (1655-185 Oak Tree Road, Edison, 732-549-5051) will take 23% off your bill on Mondays between 5:30 and 7 PM.

On Mondays, from 8:30 to 9:45 PM, 23% will be taken off your bill at Ming II, 3 Speedwell Ave, Morristown (973-871-2323).

OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD AT GREAT ROAD FARM, SKILLMAN
The 2014 North American Tour of Outstanding in the Field
, whose mission is “to reconnect diners to the land and the origins of their food, and to honor the local farmers and food artisans who cultivate it,” will be held at Great Road Farm, 1459 Great Road, Skillman, with guest chef Josh Thomsen of Agricola Eatery, in Princeton. Agricola was named one of the top restaurants in America by Gayot.com and was in the top 25 restaurants of 2014 listed by New Jersey Monthly. MURDER MYSTERY DINNER

A Murder Marinara mystery dinner show will be held at Renault Winery, 72 North Bremen Ave, Egg Harbor City. 6:30 PM; $49.

GLUTEN & ALLERGEN FREE EXPO

A Gluten & Allergen Free Expo will be held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center, 355 Plaza Drive, Secaucus. 9 AM to 3 PM; tickets and information available at the event website.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
COLLINGSWOOD POP UP GALA

You can go to dinner on September 6 in Collingswood, but you have to wear white  and do not ask where the dinner is being held. This is how it works: Just before 7 PM on the night of the event, guests are led by organizers to a top-secret spot, where hundreds of diners converge to enjoy to a giant, elegant, pop-up dinner with music and festivities. Guests bring all their items—tables, chairs, flatware, food and drink—and leave with what they brought at the end of the night. CRAFT BEERFEST AT RESORTS, ATLANTIC CITY

More than 60 different craft beers from around the country, as well as local and regional breweries, will be presenting at the Craft Beerfest at Resorts, 1133 Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Guests will receive a complimentary souvenir sampling glass to try craft beers including: Victory, DuClaw, Troegs, Flying Fish, River Horse, Magic Hat, Oskar Blues, Traveler Beer Company, Dog Fish and many more. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7
PIG ROAST AT OSTERIA MORINI

Pork, music, wine, pizza, gelato, beer and sides will be featured at the Pig Roast, which will be held at Osteria Morini, 107 Morristown Road, Bernardsville, with all proceeds benefiting the Boy Scouts of America. MAD HATTER TEA PARTY

Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the March Hare and the Mad Hatter will be available to serve you at the Mad Hatter Tea Party (for all ages), which will be held at the Peacock Café, Grounds for Sculpture, 18 Fairgrounds Road, Hamilton. Along with tea, an assortment of cookies, tarts, finger sandwiches and desserts will be available. Park admission must be paid separately. Reservations: 609-890-6015.

EPICUREAN SOCIETY DINNER

POP UP DINNER WITH CHEF MICHAEL MERIDA

A pop up dinner with chef Michael Merida, previously from Cravings Tapas Bistro in Ridgewood will be held at Trattoria Rustica, 517 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair. A ten-course tapas menu will be featured for $50. Reservations: 973-783-3436.
