ROMANTIC GETAWAY FOR TWO AT THE MANOR, WEST ORANGE
If you are looking for a very special gift (even for yourself!), consider the five-course dinner with wine pairings that is being offered at The Manor, 111 Prospect Ave, West Orange. This promotion includes an overnight stay at the Marriott Residence Inn at the Manor and includes breakfast. There are several menu options each of which include wine and champagne; $395 for two. HAMILTON PARK, JERSEY CITY, BBQ FEST
On Saturday, September 27, enjoy specialties from area restaurants at the Hamilton Park BBQ Festival, which will be held at 232 Pavonia Ave, Jersey City, to benefit the New Hamilton Park Conservancy. Participating vendors include Jimmy’s BBQ, Malvern, PA; Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Newark; Union Republic, Jersey City; GPs Restaurant, Jersey City; Ben’s BBQ, Newark; Milk Sugar Love, Jersey City; and Cholita Dessert Bar, Weehawken. New Jersey beer, sangria, and assorted cocktails will be available. Noon to 8 PM, rain or shine. Information can be found on their Facebook page.

OKTOBERFEST AT PILSENER HAUS & BIERGARTEN, HOBOKEN
Sit at the long communal tables, in the bier hall or in the breezy biergarten for Oktoberfest that will be celebrated at Pilsener Haus & Biergarten, 1422 Grand St, Hoboken, from September 26 through the end of October. Vienna-born and trained chef Thomas Ferlesch’s menu will include: Hungarian goulash soup; roasted-pork shank for two; faschierter braten (country-style meatloaf); and kaiserschmarrn (caramelized, souffléed pancake, with plum compote). Along with Oktoberfest imports like Hofbraü and Hacker-Pschorr, 70 premium beers will be offered along with live music on selected nights. Information: 201-683-5465.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
TOUR DE FARM CYCLING AND CULINARY EVENT

A Tour de Farm cycling and culinary event will start at Race Farm, 87 Belcher Road, Blairstown, and visit participating farms where a tasting will be held for participants. There are three different options ranging from a 5-mile family-friendly ride to a 78-mile extreme NJ Farm experience. A Farm-to-Fork, 10-course celebration dinner is also available and non-participants can purchase a ticket for this meal separately. Information at the event website.

BOARDWALK WINE PROMENADE

More than 100 wines can be tasted at the Boardwalk Wine Promenade held at multiple destinations along a one-mile stretch of the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Noon to 5 PM; Saturday $65; Sunday, $55. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
GUINNESS OYSTER FESTIVAL

The Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival will be held at the White Street Parking Lot, Red Bank. Along with oysters and Guinness there will be 25 of Red Bank’s restaurants in attendance offering a variety of menu items. Noon to 7 PM; admission $5 for anyone over age 10. Rain date October 5.

BURGER MANIA
Along with a beer and sangria garden, Burger Mania, a cook-off contest between area restaurants, will be held at the Raritan River Festival, Boyd Park, New Brunswick. Attendees are asked to vote for their favorite burger, which can be purchased for $1.50. Free admission. Food and beverages extra. Noon to 6 PM. Information at the event website.
