Openings:
Bellemara Distillery, Hillsborough
A single malt distillery has opened in Somerset County. Founder and head distiller Camden Winkelstein moved to Scotland for a year to learn how to make whisky (the Scots omit the e). Now he’s combining Scottish and American skills to bring a new distillery to New Jersey. With an outdoor patio complete with furniture, tables and igloo dining, guests can enjoy a night filled with a variety of cocktails. Open Wednesday-Sunday.
2 Clerico Lane (Building 5), Hillsborough
Drifthouse by David Burke, Sea Bright
After New Year’s Eve, this Shore eatery closed for three weeks to give its staff a needed break—something the team does annually. Now Chef Toni Charmello is preparing some of Drifthouse’s most popular specials, including Thursday Date Night, featuring her prix fixe menu with three classic Italian courses ($39pp). Other specials include Burger Night (Tuesdays), Sushi Specials (Wednesdays) and Lobster/Oyster Night (Sundays).
