Aquarius Opens in Fort Lee

Along with American Chinese options, Aquarius also sells special Cantonese dishes like steamed pumpkin stuffed with seafood.

Aquarius, a Cantonese restaurant, has opened at 230-234 Main Street, Fort Lee (201-592-8338); full bar. Along with American Chinese options, some of the more special dishes include: steamed pumpkin stuffed with seafood; fish fillet and Chinese yam in soy bean milk sauce; baked clams on a hot stone plate; and chef’s special Angus rib eye. Dim Sum is served daily and from carts on weekends.

WHITE MAPLE CAFÉ, RIDGEWOOD
White Maple Café, a 50-seat restaurant, has opened at 47 E Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, offering a new American menu (201-447-1953); BYO. Open daily for dinner; lunch Monday through Friday. The opening dinner menu includes soups, salads, flatbreads, burger, kale pesto fettuccine, Arctic char, mussels, roasted chicken and hanger steak. Owner Ryan Brining helped relaunch the Rainbow Room City, and has worked with Daniel Boulud at Daniel both in New York City.

The Brookside, an event space, previously known as The Essex Manor has opened at 41 Broughton Avenue, Bloomfield (973-748-6590).

The Terra Momo Restaurant Group, owners of Mediterra in Princeton, Eno Terra in Kingston, and Teresa Caffe in Princeton have opened their fourth restaurant, Enoteca Ursino Restaurant in Kean University’s STEM building at 1075 Morris Avenue, Union, featuring Italian-inspired farm-to-table dining; (908-662-9080).

Galaxy Kitchen Restaurant, The Galaxy Mall, 7000 Boulevard East Guttenberg (201-868-4627). Open daily from 7 AM to 11 PM.

Halifax, (previously Zylo), W Hoboken, 225 River Street, Hoboken (201-253-2500).

Jack and Co, 700 Clinton Street, Hoboken (201-239-0063), has opened, offering starters such as wings, baked meatballs and tuna tostones, sandwiches, salads and mains including pan seared salmon, stuffed filet mignon and roasted pork chop. Open daily for dinner and from 11 AM for brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

The Koy Turkish Grill, with a location in East Brunswick has opened a second location at 280 Rt 9, Marlboro (732-792-3659 ); BYO.

Montclair Falafel, 16 Church Street, Montclair (973-744-0300); BYO.

The Noble East, a Chinese Restaurant, has opened at 4 Alvin Place in Upper Montclair (973) 783 6800); BYO.

PJ Ryan’s Squared, has opened a second location at 4 Path Plaza, Journal Square Path Station, Jersey City. Their other location is 292 Barrow Street, Jersey City.

Harvest Bistro and Bar, Closter

Fans of Terre a Terre, 312 Hackensack Street, Carlstadt, will have till June 30 to experience executive chef Todd Villani’s food. In an e-mail Villani wrote: “This has been a difficult decision, but as our lease was drawing to a close we had to make the hard decision on whether to renew the terms. Zylo at the W Hotel in Hoboken has closed and has been replaced by Halifax, offering a farm-to-table concept.
