Yo! Sushi Opens at Short Hills Mall

The conveyor belt-style, fast-casual sushi restaurant is now open. This and other restaurant openings.

Yo! Sushi, a conveyor belt-style, fast-casual sushi restaurant, has opened at Short Hills Mall, Short Hills (201-389-8137). Sashimi, salads, hand rolls and daily desserts are on the menu. Guests can also opt for traditional-style service and order hot-food favorites like crunchy Chicken Kara Age marinated in sake and soy or pan-fried Vegetable Yakisoba Noodles in a mildly spiced, tangy sauce with vegetables from a server. The YO! Sushi brand operates 87 restaurants in 7 countries: 74 in the UK and 11 overseas in Ireland, Norway, Denmark and Dubai. This will be their third United States location.

The Kitchen at Grove Station, 299 Marin Boulevard, Jersey City (551-222-4362) is no longer BYO. Corkage fee: $10.

Su Di Noi Restaurant, previously Sorrento Ristorante, has opened at 132 Park Avenue, East Rutherford (201-507-0093); BYO. Open daily for lunch and dinner.

The owners of Egan & Sons and Halcyon Brasserie, both in Montclair, have opened Thom’s Saloon, 104 Harrison Avenue, West Orange (973-736-3355).

Wyckoff Thai, 314 Franklin Avenue, Wyckoff (201-485-8855); BYO. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
