The announcement was made by Biederman Redevelopment Ventures (BRV Corp) and the Military Park Partnership, which redeveloped and will operate the revitalized park.
The new restaurant has yet to be named, but is expected to be casual and comfortable, featuring hand-crafted burgers, salads, donuts and shakes. It will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
Wine and local craft beer will be on tap.
Stephanie Goto, the highly regarded Manhattan-based designer, has been commissioned to design the space. She also designed Maritime Parc, which New Jersey Monthly has named to its list of Top 25 restaurants in the state every year since it opened in 2011.
