Ready for an escape from holiday madness? Take a jaunt to less-congested parts of the Garden State and give yourself a break from life’s treadmill.
First up is a dinner with a moniker taken straight from the lyrics of a Christmas carol.
“City Sidewalks” is the name of a pop-up dinner taking place this Saturday evening, December 2 at one of the most picturesque locations in New Jersey: The Hunterdon Art Museum, located at 7 Lower Center Street in Clinton.
The museum’s educational programs and exhibitions roster will be the beneficiaries of proceeds from the five-course dinner created and prepared by chef Mia Emerson of 15 Landsdowne Catering.
The dinner will take place from 6 to 9 pm and cost $100 per person. Seating is limited. Reservations can be made by calling 908-735-8415. For more information, visit hunterdonartmuseum.org.

Meanwhile, a cluster of wineries located in Gloucester and Salem counties in the southwestern part of the Garden State are staging wine tastings and tours from noon to 5 pm on Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10.
Three host wineries will be pouring their own wines, as well as wines from neighboring vineyards. A transport shuttle will connect the wineries, which are:
* Cecil Creek in Mikleton
* Hill Creek in Mullica Hall
* The Find in Pilesgrove
