From A Christmas Carol to Miracle on 34th Street, these holiday shows are sure to put you in a festive spirit.

The Three Scrooges

Nov 5–Dec 21: For Christmas, Holly wants her two estranged uncles, Curly and Larry, and one distant aunt, Maureen, to come home for the holidays. This musical delivers a sack full of laughs, original songs, dance numbers and music by an onstage orchestra.

Cape May Stage: Murder For Two, The Holiday Edition

Nov 14–17, 21–24, 29–Dec. 1, 5–8, 12–15, 19–22, 26–29: This comedy puts the laughter in manslaughter. It’s Christmas Eve and a mystery writer has been murdered. With a bevy of suspects, an intrepid police officer aims to identify the killer. This musical features just two actors—one playing the investigator, one playing the suspects.

Atlantic City Ballet: It’s a Shore Holiday

Nov 24 & Dec 1: This Radio City-esque revue is set to beloved holiday tunes. See the show on Nov 24 at Caesars in Atlantic City (4 pm; $45) and Dec 1 at the Stafford Township Arts Center in Manahawkin.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Nov 24: The beloved TV classic soars off the screen and onto the stage. See all your favorite characters including Santa, Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, the Abominable Snowman, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph.

Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey: A Christmas Carol

Dec 4–29: In the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s version of the classic tale, a small group of actors play numerous characters.

Crossroads Theatre Company: A Christmas Carol

Dec 5–8, 11–15: The classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge comes to life in this multicultural musical celebration.

‘Tis The Season

Dec 5–8, 10–15: This toe-tapping musical includes a score that will send you dancing into the New Year.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Dec 5–6: Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus and the whole Peanuts gang as they produce their own Christmas play and learn the true meaning of the season.

Elf The Musical

Dec 6–8, Dec 13–15: Based on the film, this fish-out-of-water comedy follows Buddy the Elf in his quest to find his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Miracle on 34th Street the Musical

Dec 6–8, 13–15, 20–22: Single mother Doris Walker doesn’t want her six-year-old daughter Susan’s head filled with romantic notions. Their neighbor Fred Gailey tries to woo Doris by charming Susan and taking her to see Santa Claus at Macy’s, where Doris works. Doris is not impressed. But when it turns out that the Macy’s Santa may in fact be the real Kris Kringle, a wave of love spreads across New York City that melts even the most cynical hearts.

A Christmas Carol

Black Nativity

Dec 29: This gospel play uses the poetry of Langston Hughes and is performed by an all-black cast. The play debuted on Broadway in 1961. This performance is produced by Dunbar Repertory Theatre Company.
