Open: Breakfast, lunch and dinner, Mon-Fri; Breakfast and lunch, Sat-Sun

Price: $

Style: A quick-serve juice and burrito bar in Haddonfield’s historic downtown, Animo has earned a following for its healthy, all-natural menu. High-tops and regular tables offer plenty of seating in a dining area rich in wood tones, tile and leaf-green walls.

The Scoop: Joe and Anthony Gentlesk and Maria Delduca opened Animo’s original location in 2005. They moved into the present, larger quarters in 2014.

The Menu: Order at the counter after scanning the items on the chalkboard wall. Highlights are made-to-order fruit-and-vegetable juice combinations and smoothies. These have clever names like Pipe Cleaner, Lime Light, Cin City and Gimme a Beet. Standout dishes include the tahini Caesar (pictured), a kale salad with chickpeas and pumpkin seeds; the acai bowl; and two of the burritos, the Bank Street and the kale quinoa. All burritos come in regular and petito size. You can also build your own. Grab one of the many bottled juices for later.

Heads Up: Bring quarters to feed the meters or park down the street at the Haddonfield PATCO station’s ample lot.—Shelby Vittek
