June 2026: Summer Shore Guide

After a particularly cold and snowy winter, it’s time to dust off those beach chairs, pack up a cooler, and enjoy a much-needed dose of sunshine. Our annual Summer Shore Guide gives you everything you need for a great summer along the coast, whether you’ll spend two months or two days there. You’ll find everything from unique water sports to restaurants with gorgeous views to the region’s top festivals to new places worth visiting—plus a peek inside the Shore’s private beach clubs, which dot our shorelines from Monmouth County to Cape May.

And the biggest event to hit New Jersey this summer is not located at the Shore, nor does it have anything to do with surf and sand. It’s the World Cup, coming to MetLife Stadium (which FIFA is rebranding as New York New Jersey Stadium) from June 13-July 19. In this issue, we present a guide to the biggest sporting event in the world as it heads to the Garden State. Whether you are lucky enough to have scored tickets, plan to catch the action at home or at a local bar, or are a soccer newbie unsure why you should even care about the World Cup, you’ll be ready.
