Artists of all ages are invited to design labels for the private-label wine that will be released later this year to mark the 10th anniversary of Amanti Vino, 30 Church St, Montclair (973-509-9463). It will be named "Cuvée Rufus," in honor of the store's mascot, a yellow Labrador retriever.

WINE LABEL DESIGN CONTEST FROM AMANTI VINO
ARTISTS OF ALL AGES CALLED TO CREATE LABEL FOR "CUVÉE RUFUS"

"Rufus is the familiar face that’s greeted clients since we opened in October 2005," says owner Sharon Sevrens. "So it’s only fitting that his likeness and/or name be used for our first-ever private label wine."

Amanti Vino has partnered with the Montclair Art Museum to present the design competition, which will be judged by a panel of art-world professionals. A selection of submissions will be exhibited at the museum in the fall, when Cuvée Rufus will be unveiled at a release party. A percentage of proceeds from sales of Cuvée Rufus will be donated to Intensive Therapeutics Inc. and will help support exhibitions and educational programs at the Montclair Art Museum.

Four winners will be chosen, one from each of four categories: ages 5-8, 9-12, 13-18 and 19 & over. Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, March 31, 2015, and winners will be announced by April 30, 2015. The Wine Label Contest Application Form can be found here.

17 SUMMER ON RESTAURANT STARTUP TONIGHT
17 Summer in Lodi will be appearing on CNBC’s Restaurant Startup which airs tonight, Tuesday, March 10 at 10 PM. The press release stated:

“This week, two successful catering companies–both based in underserved markets–fight for the chance to score an investment from restaurateurs and investors Joe Bastianich and Tim Love. 17 Summer is owned by a young brother/sister team from New Jersey who believe they have the skills to make their fine-dining concept soar (hopefully high enough to leave the nest, as they still live with their parents). Peculiar Culinary is owned by a husband/wife team who hope to open the first gastropub in their part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Which team will cater more to the investors and get a shot at their dream restaurant?”
