Fenwick Hospitality Group Opens Latest Spot in Princeton

The restaurant is housed in the original 1918 historic stone train station on Princeton’s “Dinky Line” and offers locally sourced, ingredient-driven snacks.

THE DINKY BAR & KITCHEN
The Fenwick Hospitality group, founded by Jim Nawn, owner of Agricola (Princeton), Great Road Farm (Skillman) and Main Street (Princeton) has opened The Dinky Bar & Kitchen at 94 University Place, Princeton. The restaurant is housed in the original 1918 historic stone train station on Princeton’s “Dinky Line” and offers locally sourced, ingredient-driven snacks, small plates and more with prices from $4 to $12 for snacks and a la carte charcuterie; $9 to $15 for small plates/appetizers; and $11 to $21 for bigger plates/entrees. Open daily from 5 PM. Walk-ins only; no reservations.

CITY PERCH KITCHEN + BAR
City Perch Kitchen + Bar, a seasonal American dining concept by executive chef Sherry Yard, has opened at 2030 Hudson Street, Fort Lee (561-886-3232). Menu items include: raw bar; breads, butters and spreads such as cayenne and Parmesan popovers with smoked sundried tomato butter; starters (tuna crudo); salads (quinoa and almond-crusted goat cheese; mains including a burger, scallops with roasted Brussels sprouts; shrimp and grits; steak frites; pizzas; and seasonal skillets and sides.

PICCO TAVERN, HACKENSACK
Picco Tavern, an Italian restaurant, has opened at 160 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack (201-880-8750). Menu items include salmon pesto served with cappellini; grilled swordfish; eggplant parmesan; New York dry-aged sirloin on the bone and Berkshire pork chops with honey-maple glaze. Pizzas, pastas and burgers are also available. Open daily for dinner.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos, featuring made-to-order, completely customizable burritos, has opened their 10th location at 1849 Hooper Avenue, Toms River (732-569-6039).

Casa Filippo Ristorante Italiano, offering for breakfast, lunch and dinner, has opened at the White Sands, 1205 Ocean Avenue, Point Pleasant (732-903-7448); full bar.

Inspiration Roll, 405 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell, has opened specializing in ramen noodles and sushi burritos (862-702-3818); BYO. Open daily from 11 AM.

Fromagerie, 26 Ridge Road in Rumson (732-852-2650), has been reopened by chef Steven Botta with business partners Paul and Enilda Sansone of Sansone Auto Mall and Angelo Bongiovanni. The upscale restaurant offers an eclectic continental menu featuring Pat LaFrieda steaks.

P.J Whelihan’s, the pub and restaurant known for their wings, burgers and fries, has opened at the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall, 2301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (609-348-7000).
