Burger Options at Burgerfi in Secaucus

Plus: A seafood restaurant in Wildwood, a Mexican place in Cape May and other restaurant openings.

There are no shortcuts, microwaves, freezers or heat lamps at the newly opened Burgerfi, at 700 Plaza Drive, Harmon Meadow Plaza, Secaucus (551-257-7979). This chain restaurant features grass-fed beef without hormones and antibiotics. Along with burgers menu items include hot dogs, veggie burger, hand-cut fries, onion rings, and frozen custard.

TAVERN 5, POMPTON PLAINS
Tavern 5, a casual family restaurant featuring seasonal American dining, has opened at 710 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains (973-835-1426). Executive chef is Anthony LoPinto.

OTHER NJ RESTAURANT OPENINGS

Backfin Blues Bar & Grill, which specializes in American cuisine, seafood and steaks, has opened at 517 W Rio Grande Avenue, Wildwood. The restaurant is open daily from noon (609-522-0243).

Coffee & Cream, offering pastries, sandwiches, salads and more, has opened at 1334 Kings Highway, Swedesboro (856-214-3754).

Cubanelle Restaurant, offering Cuban cuisine, has opened at 522 Franklin Avenue, Nutley (973-284-1300).

La Dona, a Mexican restaurant has opened for lunch and dinner at 31 Perry Street, Cape May (609-884-5166); BYO.
