On Thursday, May 12, Toronto Greek chef and cookbook author Peter Minaki will host a Greek/Mediterranean dinner with chef Bryan Gregg at Escape, 345 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair; 7 PM. The following menu will be served:
Amuse bouche: Crudo of snapper, oranges, fennel, olive oil – chefs collaboration
Duck and almond pie “bisteeya” dates, house-made harissa by chef Gregg
Seafood dolmades with creamy lemon sauce by chef Minaki
Beef Stifado – braised short rib with pearl onions by chef Minaki
Semifreddo with nuts, chocolate, crumbled amaretti cookies topped with warm chocolate sauce by chef Minaki

EXECUTIVE CHEF GREG VASSOS
Executive chef Greg Vassos of Brick Farm Tavern, Hopewell, will teach a cooking class on Sunday, May 15, at Heirloom Kitchen, 3853 Rt 516, Old Bridge. A dinner will be demonstrated with a dominant emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. This dinner is a BYO but complimentary wine tastings/pairings will be provided by Mike Lykens, the restaurant’s general manager and sommelier. 6 PM; $110. Reservations: 732-727-9444.
