On Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21 (rain dates August 27 and 28), Elements Café in Haddon Heights will host a Feast in the Fields at the 1895 Organic Farm, 303 Landing Street, in Lumberton. Chef Fred will present the following dinner:
Hors d’oeuvres: Tomato and goat cheese tart; spicy pepper jam crustini; deviled-chicken croquettes; crab-and-sorrel stuffed tomato; prosciutto-wrapped cantaloupes; and BBQ beef short-rib taco.
Vichyssoise with smoked onion relish and herb crème fraiche
Poached beet and roasted carrot salad with whipped ricotta, candied pecans and strawberry vinaigrette
Choice of lobster, scallop, clam & mussels in a tomato, corn & onion stew or zucchini duxelle stuffed organic chicken in tomato and pepper broth
Caramelized sun-gold buckle with lemon basil ice cream and just picked watermelon.
