NJ Restaurants Offering Thanksgiving Meals and Takeout Specials

Tasty Turkey Day options abound all over the Garden State. Get your reservations or orders in early!

As chefs prepare to welcome guests to their restaurants on Thanksgiving, they’re also readying takeout options to save you hours in the kitchen.

Blue Grotto, Oceanport

To-go packages include turkey breast, gravy, whipped sweet potatoes, stuffing, an assortment of vegetables, choice of pumpkin or apple pie, and more. Each package comes in disposable, reheatable containers and can be picked up from 9:30 am to noon on Thanksgiving Day. 8–10 people, $250; 12–16 people, $375; 18–20 people, $450. Orders due by Friday, November 19.

Harbor Pines Golf Club, Egg Harbor Township

The club is presenting a buffet from 1–5 pm on Thanksgiving Day. The menu will include butternut squash soup, fall harvest salads (with apples, cranberries and pecans), herb-roasted salmon, roasted turkey breast, string bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes, pies and pastries and more. Reservations are required and can be made online or by phone. $45 per person ($16 per child).

Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg

The resort is offering six different dining options. Grand Cascades Lodge will present a buffet in its Emerald Ballroom with seafood specials and Thanksgiving favorites. The Crystal Tavern, as well as the Kites restaurant and Springs Bistro, will serve a special 3-course menu (and an optional wine pairing at the Bistro). The Minerals Hotel will set out a hot buffet, as will the Black Bear Golf Course, headed by Chef Andy Lagana. Call to make your reservation.

The Reeds at Shelter Haven, Stone Harbor

Featuring Thanksgiving favorites, The Reeds buffet runs from noon–6 pm. It includes turkey, prime rib, stuffing, soups, housemade desserts and more. Reservations are required and can be made via phone. $48 per person ($24 for kids).

Sugar Factory, Atlantic City

This restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving-themed treat. The Gobble Gobble Milkshake is made with pumpkin spice ice cream and decorated with pumpkin mellowcreme, a chocolate turkey, autumn mix sprinkles and salted caramelized pepitas. There’s even a slice of pumpkin pie on top. Available November 5–30 for $21.

Faubourg, Montclair

This French-inspired eatery, which appears on our 2021 list of 30 Best Restaurants, is offering Thanksgiving takeout and dine-in meals. The takeout package includes butternut squash soup, roasted turkey, vegetables and more. A la carte offerings range from veggies and appetizers to housemade pies (apple, pumpkin and pecan). The restaurant will be open from noon–8 pm on Thanksgiving, serving an a la carte menu with holiday specials. Reservations suggested.

Seaview Hotel & Golf Club, Galloway

For those celebrating down the shore, this hotel is offering a deluxe five-course meal in the main dining room on Thanksgiving. For $49 per adult (and $28 per child), offerings include a poached seafood cocktail, served family-style; roasted cauliflower bisque, autumn greens, rosemary-roasted turkey, a seasonal assortment of mini desserts and more. There will be two seatings, one at 11 am and one at 3 pm. Reservations required.

Summit House, Summit

The Thanksgiving takeout menu can be picked up on Thanksgiving Day. The turkey is sourced from Princeton’s Griggstown Farms and comes with turkey gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce, with sides such as butternut squash soup, Brussels sprouts and more. Wines are also available for purchase. Orders are due by November 19 and can be made online. (4–6 people, $295; 7–10, $395).

Osteria Morini, Bernardsville

The Thanksgiving takeout menu includes seasonal dishes and restaurant favorites. Plates available for preorder include apple cider–glazed turkey, pan-seared salmon, corn bread stuffing, truffled green bean casserole, roasted vegetables and more. The Morini Bakeshop is offering treats such as apple ‘n’ oat pie, a vegan hazelnut tart with chocolate ganache and classic pumpkin pie. All dishes serve 4–6 people. Orders must be placed by November 21 and can be picked up on November 24 from 1–8 pm.

Morton’s The Steakhouse, Hackensack

Order a family-style dinner to go (feeds 4 for $179) that includes winter salad, turkey roulade with stuffing, smoked gouda au gratin potatoes, corn soufflé, creamed spinach and green beans, egg and onion loaf, and pumpkin cheesecake. Guests are welcome to dine at the restaurant with the same menu ($59 per person). Orders can be placed online; the deadline is November 23.

Rat’s Restaurant, Hamilton

From 11 am–7 pm on Thanksgiving, this French restaurant at Grounds for Sculpture is serving a 5-course pre-fixe meal. Dishes include amuse-bouche, fig arugula salad, bacon-wrapped haricots verts, roasted turkey breast, prime rib, dark chocolate mousse and more. $68 per person; $35 per child (menu available for kids 12 and under).

Piccola Italia, Ocean Township 

Chef Brian Gualtieri and his wife, Carolina, the manager, have put together a Thanksgiving takeout menu with options for 16–20 people, 8–10 people or individual servings. Dishes include turkey, maple whipped sweet potatoes, butternut squash soup, Brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes and cranberry apple bread stuffing. Orders must be placed before November 20, and can be picked up before 8 pm on November 24.

Carmine’s, Atlantic City

Takeout, delivery and dine-in options are available. The special menu features roast turkey, sausage and sage stuffing, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, apple and pumpkin pies, and more. The takeout meal, $295, serves 6–8. Preorders will open online on November 19; dine-in reservations can be made now.

Brick Lane Curry House, Jersey City & Upper Montclair

A pre-fixe menu is available at both locations. Sweet potato chaat, biryani (a mixed rice dish), tandoori roasted chicken and cauliflower, and garam masala apple pie. Reservations for a Thanksgiving meal can be made online.

B2 Bistro + Bar, Red Bank & North Brunswick

B2’s Red Bank location is offering guests two meal options (4–6 people, $325; 8–10 people, $425). The menu includes turkey, mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, roasted squash and Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, gravy and pumpkin pie. The North Brunswick location is giving guests a choice between a seasoned, uncooked turkey ready for the oven or a fully cooked turkey that can be reheated. Sides include roasted French beans, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes with marshmallows and more. Orders must be placed by November 18 in Red Bank and November 19 in North Brunswick. Pickup for both locations is November 24.

100 Ocean, Long Branch

The Wave resort is celebrating Thanksgiving with two dining options at its 100 Ocean restaurant. Takeout is offered in sizes to serve 2, 4 or 8 ($125–$450), with options including turkey with herb butter, prime rib, green bean casserole, brioche stuffing, cheddar rolls, walnut apple cobbler and more. There will also be a 3-course dine-in prix-fixe menu ($60 per person).

Catherine Lombardi, New Brunswick

A 3-course menu is available for dine-in only. The first course includes a macaroni dish or salad, the second is a turkey option, and the third is dessert. For an Italian-style Thanksgiving at home, takeout options include stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, lasagna, turkey with garlic bread, molten chocolate cake, pecan pie and more. All orders are due by November 20.

Rum Point Crab House, Atlantic City

Enjoy a different kind of Thanksgiving dinner at this seafood hotspot in Harrah’s Resort. At $79 per person, the meal includes butternut squash and crab dip, beets and brown butter scallops, stuffed flounder with oyster stuffing and green bean casserole, and banana rum cake. Reservations can be made online.

Bistro D’Azur, South Orange

Curbside pickup dinners for groups of 2 or 4 will be available for pickup on Thanksgiving Day. Those interested can choose from a curated menu, including dishes like cheese plates, grilled salmon, roast turkey, New York strip steak, cranberry compote, foie gras brioche stuffing, roasted veggies, and desserts including apple tarte tatin, chocolate torte and lemon meringue. Orders are due Sunday, November 21.

The Brookdale, Bloomfield

Chef Jonathan Kavourakis is welcoming diners for a classic sit-down Thanksgiving dinner. The menu includes a kale salad with acorn squash, roast turkey with gravy, corn bread stuffing, broccoli soufflé, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce and an assortment of desserts. $44 per person; $22 for children.

Choc-O-Pain, multiple locations

This popular French bakery is offering Thanksgiving desserts for pickup, including tarts, croissants and cakes. There’s a pumpkin tart, a pear almond tart, tarte apple tatin and even a vegan chocolate almond tart. Order online by November 22 to pick up on November 24—or by November 23 to pick up on November 25.

Porter, Weehawken

The Porter pastry team is preparing made-to-order pies for $45 each this Thanksgiving. Pecan pie, pumpkin pie (with vanilla bean whipped cream and pepita brittle), cranberry meringue and apple crumb are available, as well as housemade ice cream pints. Also available for purchase: three wines selected by Porter’s beverage director, Tara Glick.

Four City Brewing, Orange

This brewing company is bringing back its annual Side Dish Sour brew for the holiday. Fermented with cranberry purée, the beer is made to taste just like cranberry sauce. It will be available on November 24 in the taproom, as well as at select retail locations.
