Openings and Closings

The latest on the restaurant scene.

Several new restaurants—open now or coming-soon—sport names that tell diners pretty much everything they need to know about their menus.

For instance, Front Line Seafood/Soul Food is serving forth whiting as well as fried chicken with yams and greens at 472 Springfield Avenue in Newark. Open for lunch and dinner. Call 973-799-0562 or visit the Facebook page.

Casa Arturo Bistro, 75 Main Street in Little Falls. Mexican; 973-837-8282.

Porter Collins, which opened six months ago to much fanfare, has closed. Located on Willow Avenue in Hoboken, the mega-watt spot was owned by Liz and Anthony Pino. Their organization, Pino Hospitality, still operates both Anthony David’s and Bin 14 in Hoboken.
