Song’E Napule, Rutherford

This popular pizzeria from New York has opened a location across the Hudson in Rutherford. Owners Ciro Iovine and his wife, Austria Maldonado, opened Song’E Napule in New York City in 2015. The menu includes specialty pizza, seafood dishes, homemade pastas and an assortment of Italian desserts. Open daily at 11 am.

Wish Upon a Pastry, Midland Park

In 2019, owners Torre Liebchen and Michelle Micek began Wish Upon a Cookie out of their own kitchen, creating handcrafted, decorated cookies. Later this month, they are launching their very first storefront titled Wish Upon a Pastry, a bakery for custom cookies, cakes and other delicious treats. Custom orders can be made online, or guests can stop by the bakery for something sweet. The grand opening is December 11 and operating hours are Tuesday-Friday 11 am-6 pm and Saturday 10 am-2 pm. Myron Mixon’s Pitmaster Barbecue, Hoboken

Five-time World Barbeque Champion Myron Mixon is bringing his skills to Hoboken later this month. This is Mixon’s third location in addition to spots in Florida and Virginia. The menu includes beef brisket, pulled pork, house-made sausage and more, which can be paired with classic BBQ sides such as peach BBQ baked beans and Babyback mac & cheese. Everything is smoked in-house daily. BYO.

Pho & Baguette, Milltown

A new Vietnamese restaurant has opened in Milltown, serving up specialty dishes made from a flavorful broth, rice, noodles and meat. The menu features Pho, Vietnamese buns with chicken or pork, Vietnamese sandwich options (lemongrass beef, BBQ pork and tofu, roast pork) and rice dishes. Open daily at 11 am.
