Bistro d’Azur Hosts an Alsatian Wine Dinner, Both In Person and Virtually

Offered as a dine-in or as a Zoom experience, Bistro d’Azur is preparing a night dedicated to fine dining and wine. With wines selected by Hank Zona from Grape Unwrapped, and a menu prepared by chef Richard Krug, each dish will be beautifully paired with an accompanying wine from France’s Alsace region. Dishes include tarte flambee and bacon and onion (first course), foie gras pate and goat cheese salad (second course), choucroute royal and roasted venison loin (main course), and a dessert trio of mini creme brûlée, chocolate cherry truffles, and lemon merengue. Live in the Lounge at Battello Restaurant, Jersey City
Friday, March 12

Local artist Nahscha will be performing at this week’s Live in the Lounge event at Battello. With great music paired with great wine, this weekly event offers an exclusive experience for up to 40 guests, with local wines from Melville Winery. Each dish on the three-course menu will be paired with a wine, including dishes like tomato burrata insalata, entree choices of ricotta gnocchi, striped bass and boneless short ribs. Dessert will feature a creative dish of chocolate cherry almond pasta, paired with Melville Winery’s 2018 Syrah wine. Live in the Lounge will begin at 8 pm and tables can be reserved online for $122 a person.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner at The Ryland Inn, Whitehouse Station
Wednesday, March 17

A take-out St. Patrick’s day dinner is available for pick-up at Whitehouse Station’s Ryland Inn, with a menu full of Irish favorites. First-course options include cauliflower soup or watercress salad. Entree options are vegetable shepherd’s pie, Guinness and lamb Stew or slow roasted corned beef brisket, with add-on side options of roasted mushrooms and colcannon (russet potatoes, leeks, garlic, kale, green onion and butter). To top off the meal, enjoy a rich dessert of Irish cream, mint and dark chocolate bread pudding. Scheduled time pick-up slots range from noon-6 pm on March 17 at the Ryland Inn (Whitehouse Station), Liberty House (Jersey City), and Stone House (Warren).

March Special at Heirloom Kitchen, Old Bridge

This farm-to-table restaurant uses the finest quality ingredients to create elevated dishes, and for the entire month of March the kitchen is doing something special. The Korean-style barbecue special is offered for two, featuring honey glazed gochujang wings and beef bulgogi. The meal also comes with kimchi rice, garlic chive pancake, and assorted banchan (marinated mung bean sprouts, chili cucumber and sesame spinach). Available for $75 for dine-in on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and to-go from Wednesday-Sunday. Make reservations online or call to order the special.
