Openings: Blue Eyes in Hoboken

A new Italian restaurant opens, appropriately, on Sinatra Drive.

Blue Eyes Café, an Italian restaurant—named after you know who—has opened at 525 Sinatra Drive, Hoboken (201-683-6861). Owned by Pasquale and Nicola Di Palma (from Queen Margherita in Nutley), the restaurant serves wood-fired pizzas, pasta, Italian classic entrees, desserts, gelato and assorted coffees with views of the water and Freedom Tower. A lunch special for $13 is offered Monday through Friday, 11 AM to 2 PM. Open Wednesday through Monday, 11 AM; closed Tuesday.

OTHER OPENINGS

1000 Degrees Pizzeria, 640 Commons Way, Bridgewater Commons Mall, Bridgewater (908-595-9595), has opened. It serves Neapolitan Pizza that cooks in about 2 minutes in a 1,000-degree oven.

Cajun and creole cuisine along with Italian comfort food, steaks, burgers and pizza are offered at the newly opened Celine’s Bistro, 87 Rt 23, Hamburg (973-702-1234).

Watch your donuts being made at Duck Donuts, a franchise that has opened at Ventura Plaza, 1275 Rt 35, Middletown (732-671-3825). The made-to-order donuts can be coated with peanut butter, lemon and maple icing and shredded coconut or chocolate and topped with rainbow sprinkles, chopped peanuts or bacon.

Quesadillas, tacos and tortas are a few of the items found on the menu at Oasis Mexican Grill, which has opened at 498 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood (856-858-1807); BYO.

Yo! Sushi!, with a 280-foot conveyor belt offering over 80 dishes to choose from, has opened at Garden State Plaza, Paramus (201-389-8137).
