Bluff City BBQ, presenting what it calls “the taste of Memphis with a touch of soul,” will open December 26 at 21 Midland Avenue, Montclair. The BYO will serve lunch and dinner daily. Chef Patrick Pierre-Jerome, formerly of Hat City Kitchen in Orange, will specialize in dry-rubbed, smoked pork and brisket plus Southern-style fish, shellfish and soul-food. There will be healthy updates on traditional side dishes, and desserts will have a Southern accent. Soul-inflected options for vegetarians are part of the plan, too. (973-744-4657)
