Food Network Iron Chef Jose Garces has opened Distrito Cantina, a margarita bar with Mexican street food, at Revel, 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (609-225-9850).
Elizabeth Katz is the executive pastry chef at Maritime Parc, 84 Audrey Zapp Dr, Liberty State Park, Jersey City (201-413-0050). Most recently the CIA Hyde Park graduate was the executive pastry chef for BR Guest Hospitality, overseeing the pastry departments of fourteen New York City restaurants as well as heading opening teams in Las Vegas, Arizona, and Atlantic City. Prior to joining BR Guest, she was the executive pastry sous chef at Daniel under Chef Johnny Iuzzini.
Kevin Pemoulie is the executive chef and owner (along with his wife, Alex) of Thirty Acres, 500 Jersey Ave, Jersey City (201-435-3100). He previously worked as a sous chef at Craft Bar under Chef Tom Colicchio and Chef Akhtar Nawab and at David Chang’s Momofuku Noodle Bar as chef de cuisine.
Michel Richard has opened O Bistro and Wine Bar at Revel, 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (855-348-0500), and the Breakfast Room at Revel, 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (855-348-0500).
Food Network star chef Aarón Sanchez has opened Crossroads at the House of Blues at the Showboat, 801 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (609-343-4000).
