Coming Soon: Bergen’s Food and Wine Fest

Mark your calendars for a new foodie celebration, plus Eat Drink Local Week.

It’s a first: The Bergen County Food & Wine Festival.

Sponsored by Inserra Supermarkets, which has 22 ShopRites to their name, and hosted by the 200 Club of Bergen County. The festival will take place Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17, under tents in the parking lots of Westfield Gardens State Plaza in Paramus.

The 200 Club is a not-for-profit organization that supports local police, firefighters, emergency services workers and their families.

On September 16, from noon to 5 pm, the festival’s Burgers & Brews will take center stage. For this burger competition guests will sample and vote for the best burger. Wines, spirits, and beers will be offered.

On September 17, from 1 to 6 pm, a Tasting Village will feature some 70 Bergen County restaurants offering samples of their signature dishes. Wines, spirits and beers will also be on tap.
