Dining Events: Buck-a-Shuck Oysters!

Upcoming highlights also include several appealing wine dinners.

The Frog and the Peach, 29 Dennis Street, New Brunswick, is offering all this month oysters priced at $1 each. “At the bar or table, early or late,” the restaurant’s staff pledges. Coming up: a wine dinner led by Mark Altom featuring the Wines of Portugal on Friday, February 10 starting at 7 pm and priced at $100 per person, not including tax and tip. A wine dinner spotlighting the Wines of Falesco in Italy with Giuseppe Rosati will start at 7 pm on Friday, March 10, priced at $110, not including tax and tip. Jockey Hollow Bar and Kitchen, 110 South Street, Morristown, will host a wine-pairing dinner spotlighting the wines of Southern Italy. The Deconciliis ‘Super Campanian’ Dinner will take place Friday, January 20 starting at 7 pm. Cost is $125 per person, plus tax and tip, for a multi-course dinner including wines. Cava Winery, 3619 Route 94, Hamburg, is offering a Winter Wine Pairing Dinner Saturday, January 21 from 6 to 9 pm. The five-course dinner features wine pairings for each course. Price: $40 per person. Guests must be 21 or older. Call 973-823-9463 for reservations and more information.

Belleview Winery, 150 Atlantic Avenue, Landisville, will host Winter Wine Weekend January 21 and January 22 at the winery. The evening will offer new wine releases, food and live music. Admission is free; wine-tasting passes are $5 for eight samples. Call 856-697-7172 for information.

Le Malt, 1021 St. Georges Avenue, Colonia, is hosting a wine dinner Tuesday, January 24 featuring wines from Napa Valley’s famed Stags’ Leap Winery. Seven specially selected Stags’ Leap wines will be poured at the dinner. Price: $65 per person. Call 732-510-7593 for reservations and information.

Hopewell Valley Winery, 46 Yard Road, Pennington, is staging a farm-to-table dinner on Wednesday, January 25 from 6 to 9 pm at the winery with all dishes prepared by resident chef, Nikiforos Vaimakas. Each course, many using ingredients from Blue Moon Acres in Hopewell, will be paired with a different wine.
