Easter Edibles and Activities (For Kids, Too)

Head north by northwest and you’ll find yourself in bucolic Sussex County, where Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, has many Easter celebrations in store:

—On Easter Sunday, April 16, Restaurant Latour in the Grand Cascades Lodge will serve an Easter brunch. The resort’s executive chef, Anthony Bucco, and chef de Latour Martyna Krowicka will present scrambled eggs with crispy oyster, caviar and chili butter; a variation on chicken and waffles, with quail on a stout waffle and smoked maple syrup; and Wagyu flatiron steak, with blue cheese and lettuce soup.

Each table will receive a basket of breakfast breads with cultured butters and fruit preserves. Brunch will be served from 11 am to 3 pm. Two courses are $55; three courses are $75.

—The Crystal Tavern at the Lodge will serve its own Easter brunch from 11 am to 4 pm, this one a three-course fixed-price menu for $39 per person.

—The Emerald Ballroom at the Lodge will host its annual Easter Sunday brunch buffet from 11 am to 4 pm, featuring hot and cold buffets. $59 for adults; $25 for children 4 to 11; kids under 3 free.

—The Springs Bistro at the Lodge will feature Italian fare on its Easter Sunday dinner menu. A three-course fixed-price menu will be served from 3 to 8 pm. $59 per person, or $89 with wine pairings.

—Chocolate molding class for children will take place Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at the Lodge. Cost: $20 per child. Reservations: 855-977-6473.

—Easter Egg Dyeing classes for children will be given at the Lodge and at the resort’s Minerals Hotel Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15. Cost: $12 per dozen. Reservations: 855-977-6473.
