Deep in the heart of winter in New Jersey, there still are food-world happenings that bring a shot of sunshine to our lives.
Consider these coming-soon events:
At Blue Morel Restaurant & Wine Bar, 2 Whippany Road in Morristown, Bourbon and Blues Night will take place the last Thursday of each month—as in this Thursday, January 25, from 7 to 10 pm. The featured bourbon this time out is Black Dirt. Samplings of a Black Dirt whiskey will be offered, followed by cocktails crafted from the featured spirit and foods to partner with the bourbon. A blues band will play. For information, call 973-451-2619 or visit bluemorel.com.
At William Heritage Winery, 480 Mullica Hill Road in Mullica Hill, a Wine & Chocolate Event will take place Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 in conjunction with New Jersey Wine Trail Weekend. The event, aimed at adults, offers tastings of Mecha Chocolates, of Collingswood, as well as macarons from Mademoiselle Macaron, of Mullica Hill, paired with white, red and New Jersey wines. Tickets must be purchased in advance for specified tasting times:
* Admission A: starting at noon and ending at 1:30 pm
* Admission B: starting at 2 pm and ending at 3:30 pm
* Admission C: starting at 4 pm and ending at 5:30 pm
For members of the wine trail club, the cost is $20. Tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, February 2 and are priced at $25. To purchase tickets, visit heritagewinenj.com or call 856-589-4474.
The Atlantic City Bottle Company, a bar adjacent to the Iron Room in Atlantic City, is closing its doors to accommodate the expansion of the dining room-lounge at 648 North Albany Avenue in Atlantic City. What this means to you is that “ACBC” (as it’s known) is holding a series of events aimed at whittling down its stock of wines and spirits. One of those will take place from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, January 31 at the Iron Room, and includes cocktail tasting, whiskey tasting and selected wines served with snacks. Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance at ironroommac.com.Click here to leave a comment
