Events This Week And Beyond

Happenings in Morristown, Atlantic City and Mullica Hill.

Deep in the heart of winter in New Jersey, there still are food-world happenings that bring a shot of sunshine to our lives.

Consider these coming-soon events:

At Blue Morel Restaurant & Wine Bar, 2 Whippany Road in Morristown, Bourbon and Blues Night will take place the last Thursday of each month—as in this Thursday, January 25, from 7 to 10 pm. The featured bourbon this time out is Black Dirt. Samplings of a Black Dirt whiskey will be offered, followed by cocktails crafted from the featured spirit and foods to partner with the bourbon. A blues band will play. For information, call 973-451-2619 or visit bluemorel.com.

The Atlantic City Bottle Company, a bar adjacent to the Iron Room in Atlantic City, is closing its doors to accommodate the expansion of the dining room-lounge at 648 North Albany Avenue in Atlantic City. What this means to you is that “ACBC” (as it’s known) is holding a series of events aimed at whittling down its stock of wines and spirits. One of those will take place from 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday, January 31 at the Iron Room, and includes cocktail tasting, whiskey tasting and selected wines served with snacks. Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance at ironroommac.com.
