Serving up fresh seafood on Main Street, Jersey Lobster Rolls opened last month. The menu includes classic lobster rolls, as well as creative options with toppings such as jalapeño peppers, sweet chili sauce or Caesar dressing. The eatery also serves wings, shrimp rolls, housemade soups and more. Open Monday–Wednesday, 11 am–8pm; Friday–Sunday, 11 am–10 pm.

Black Pearl Coffee, Plainsboro Township

Enjoy breakfast, lunch and coffee at this new café. Black Pearl’s drink menu ranges from espresso and lattes to teas and frappuccinos. There are also sandwiches, soups, baked goods and egg-white scramble bites—perfect for breakfast on the go. Open from 6:30 am Monday–Friday, and from 7 am Saturday–Sunday.

Westwood Candy Company, Westwood

This candy and gift shop has opened in downtown Westwood. It offers housemade gummies, marshmallow pops, gourmet popcorn, cotton candy, cocktail mixes and more. Westwood merchandise, gift baskets, bowls, plates and home decor are also available. Open Monday–Friday at 10 am; closed Sundays.

Cap’t Loui, Montclair

This Cajun seafood chain recently opened its second NJ location. The menu offers seafood favorites including calamari, fish and chips, oysters, lobster, crab and special sauces. Open daily, 11:30 am–10:30 pm.
