American Cut, an 11,000-square-foot oceanfront American steakhouse, has opened at Revel, 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (855-348-0500). The restaurant seats 300 and has a “meat bar” as well as a raw bar, where diners can watch the chefs at work.

Aoyama, serving Japanese and French Thai cuisine, has opened at 319 Franklin Ave, Wyckoff (201-847-9900); BYO.

Azure by Allegretti: Coastal Cuisine, Riviera Style has opened at Revel, 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City (855-348-0500).

Burger Palace, 251 North Ave, Westfield (908-232-0090), has opened, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Cake Lush, specializing in custom creations for weddings and special events, has opened at 437 Jersey Ave, Jersey City (646-770-6864).

Chestnut Cafe & Eatery, 66 E Main St, Little Falls (973-256-4237); BYO.

Sage, serving continental cuisine with Italian flair, has opened in the old Campania Restaurant location at 17-15 Broadway, Fair Lawn (201-797-0500); BYO.

Skylark on the Hudson, 25 River Dr S, Jersey City (201-533-8989), has opened, with Craig Shelton, former chef/owner of the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse and consultant for the Skylark Diner in Edison, as a partner.

Spuntino Wine Bar & Italian Tapas, offering pizzas, small plates, and Italian meats and cheeses, has opened at Clifton Commons, 70 Kingsland Ave, Clifton (973-661-2435).
