A Better World Café, Quilt Room, Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19 S 2nd Ave, Highland Park, is a community kitchen working to promote sustainability and community. It serves lunch Mondays through Fridays from 11 AM to 3 PM. The multicultural menu features local and seasonal foods. Payment is based on a suggested price, or you may pay something different. If you pay more, you will help purchase a meal for someone who has limited resources. You can volunteer an hour of time in exchange for a meal, and there’s always a complimentary dish that is open to everyone.
