Orchard Beer Garden Opens in Stanhope

The menu offers snacks, soups, salads and family meals, plus artisan cheeses and freshly made meats.

Bradley and Laurie Boyle, owners of Salt Gastro Pub, Salt Stage and SG events, have opened Orchard Beer Garden, an inside room with an outside feel, at 172 Lackawanna Drive, Stanhope (973-347-1534). The menu offers snacks, soups, salads, family meals for two or more, artisan cheeses, burgers and sausages made fresh by Sussex Meat Packing in Wharton.

GARDEN STATE ALE HOUSE
A gastropub, Garden State Ale House, has opened at 340 Paterson Avenue, East Rutherford. Their draft selection changes often and some menu items include: pizza, soup, salads, tacos, quesadillas, burgers and entrée items of pork, poultry, pasta, fish and beef. A pre-fixe dinner for $24 includes a starter, main course and dessert. Reservations: 201-528-7767. There is also a location in New Brunswick.

OTHER NJ RESTAURANT OPENINGS

Café Batata, a Brazilian café, has opened at 382 2nd Street, Jersey City. Along with coffee, pastries and salads they offer a Brazilian potato pancake stuffed with a choice of toppings (201-217-4146).

Cardinal Provisions, a restaurant, has opened at 513 Bangs Avenue Asbury Park (732-898-7194). Their homepage states, “Cardinal is the culinary collaboration of chefs Grace Crossman and Laura Brahn. By day, they can be found at 513 Bangs Avenue, providing full service breakfast and lunch with great carryout and, by night, hosting pop-up dinners both inside their restaurant and out.”

Circles Thai, 8 Powell Lane, Collingswood (856-869-0001,  has opened. It offers contemporary Asian cuisine.

Hal Mae Noodle, a Korean restaurant specializing in hand-cut noodles served in soups, has opened at 413 Broad Avenue, Palisades Park (201-482-8333); BYO. Open daily from 11 AM to 10 PM.

La Tabatiere, a bakery, has opened at 303 Herbert Avenue, Closter (201-767-2545).

Momma’s Boy, offering burgers, dogs, rides, shakes and more, has opened at  140 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne (973-333-3335).

Over Easy Kitchen, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, has opened at 460 Rt 520, Marlboro (732-526-4422) Open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM.

Rosalita, 10 Maple Street, Summit, has opened offering Mexican-inspired cuisine including Mexican meatballs; elote, a Mexican street corn; and spicy tuna nachos (908-598-9200); BYO.

Sensible Fork, offering healthy dining options, has opened at 14 Oak Street, Ridgewood. Open daily for breakfast, which is served all day, lunch and dinner, Thursday through Saturday. (201-857-8686) BYO.
