MICHAEL FIORIANTI AND SATIS WEST
Michael Fiorianti will be the executive chef of Satis West, which will be opening in October at 289 Glenwood Avenue in Bloomfield (973-743-1097). He will also continue to oversee Satis in Jersey City, where chef de cuisine Yohan Jeon will be manning the stoves. Jeon has worked at the Jersey City location for about three years and has come from the kitchens of Jean Georges and David Chang before that.
The menu, which will be the same as the Jersey City location, is currently being finalized for fall and winter. It will feature some of their customer’s favorite dishes over the last 5 years, such as the short rib with chorizo and goat cheese mashed potatoes; bouillabaisse; chicken chasseur; scallops with brussels sprouts and brown butter. There will also be house-made charcuterie and pasta selections. Satis West will have a liquor license and an extensive menu of wines and drinks.

Patrick Pierre-Jerome (Yves, Albert’s, Hat City Kitchen) has been named executive chef at Bluff City BBQ, which will be opening this fall at 21 Midland Avenue, Montclair.
