If you have an interest in coffee history, brewing and anything caffeine-related, you can learn all about what makes a great cup of coffee at Shanti Cafe. Leading the in-person workshops is Richard, a coffee enthusiast from the UK, who will teach you all about the world of deliciously brewed coffee. Multiple workshops are available weekly; topics include taste sensation, brewing, latte art, coffee origins and more. Classes are free, though a $10 day-of donation is suggested. Register online in advance, as numbers are restricted to permit social distancing. All workshop materials are thoroughly disinfected.

Harrington Park Farmers Market
Opening Aug. 30

Harrington Park’s annual seasonal farmers market is back in business starting August 30. The fall market will include seasonal items, as well as farmers market favorites like fresh cheese, pickles, jams and more. Bergen County’s Stokes Farm will be included as one of the vendors, selling fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs. The event’s goal is to support the local business community in a time when it’s needed most. Don’t forget your mask! DM the Facebook page if you’re a vendor interested in being a part of the market. The market, located at Highland Field, will be open Sundays, 10 am–2 pm, until October 11.

Make Tuesday nights at Rails your new date night. For $39, you get a meal for two with an array of meats, side dishes and dessert. Whealth Kitchen Meal Drop, Jersey City
Wednesdays or Sundays

Through Whealth Kitchen, you can get farm-fresh meals delivered right to your door every week. Menus are released every Sunday; boxes include meats, grains, vegetables and special treats like chocolate-chip pumpkin scones. Meal Drops include regular and vegan meals full of no-cook, bulk-prepped items that you can mix and match in meals all week long.
