Viva Margarita, Hackensack

The Mexican chain has opened, adding to its locations in Cliffside Park, Edgewater and Wallington. The menu features classics like enchiladas, street tacos and fajitas, as well as chipotle chicken burros, fresh guacamole and more. Open Monday-Thursday at 4 pm and Friday-Sunday at 12 pm.

Wing It Forward, Medford

Located in The Feed Mill at Medford Village shopping center, family-owned Wing It Forward offers 10 wing flavors, including Garlic Parm Tangy, Mango Habanero Teriyaki and Sriracha Hot. The menu also offers fries, chicken tenders, brownies and more. For every 10 wings purchased, one hungry child will receive a meal through Feed My Starving Children.

Wakai Japanese Craft Ramen, Edison

The creative menu includes ramen bowls with ingredients such as miso soy milk, smoked duck confit, beef bone marrow, birria lamb and braised short ribs. Wakai also offers coffees, teas, fruit teas and desserts. Open daily at 11:30 am. Closed Tuesdays.

Restaurant Closings:

The Cheese Bar, Pompton Lakes

After two years, this cheese-devoted eatery has shut down. In an Instagram announcement in late 2021, the owners explained that the business had been hit hard during the pandemic and thanked the community for the continued support as the bar struggled to remain open.
