Wine on the Beach Festival

Seaside Heights • September 11 & 12

Oenophiles can enjoy New Jersey vintages on the beach for a whole weekend. Admission to the event includes a souvenir wine glass and the opportunity to sample and purchase more than 200 Jersey wines. The weekend will also feature live music, artisans and crafters, wine art activities, seminars and more. The event runs from 12–5 pm both days. Tickets can be purchased online. Advance tickets are $20 per person; day-of, $25.

Meadowlands Racetrack Craft Beer Festival

East Rutherford • September 11

More than 60 breweries and cideries, including a number of New Jersey vendors, will participate in the Meadowlands Craft Beer Festival in September. Local breweries include New Jersey Beer Co., Toms River Brewing, United Brewing Company and more. VIP members can enter at 4:30 pm for $85 per person, including a one-hour sampling of beer and food. For general admission, guests can purchase tickets in advance for $45 or at the door for $50. Tickets available online. A full list of vendors will be posted on PlayMeadowlands.com September 1.

Breakfast & Lunch at 100 Ocean

Long Branch

One of the restaurants in Long Branch’s Wave Resort, 100 Ocean has expanded its dining hours. In late July, 100 Ocean began serving breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday (previously served only on weekends). The breakfast menu, available from 7–11 am, includes mini Belgian waffles, buttermilk pancakes, egg scramble (with smoked salmon, chives and Boursin cheese), avocado toast (topped with a poached egg) and more. The lunch menu (12–3 pm) features mixed salads, a lobster roll, burgers and fried flounder (with dill pickle remoulade).
