Wet Your Whistle at These Upcoming Beer Events

September is filled with sudsy celebrations all across the Garden State.

BI-STATE CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL
On September 10, a bi-state craft beer festival will be held on the lawn at the Cape May Ferry Terminal (New Jersey) and the lawn of the Lewes Ferry Terminal (Delaware). Hosted by the Delaware Brewers Guild and the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild, Brews By The Bay will feature 40+ breweries from New Jersey and Delaware. Start with Jersey craft beer from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM and then jump on the ferry, and head to Delaware’s festival which starts at 4 PM. Rain or shine. Tickets will be on sale the day of the event at the gate or at this website.

HARVEST BREW FEST
On Saturday, September 17, The Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street, Cape May, will host a Harvest Brew Fest featuring regional beers and vendors offering food, including corn on the cob, seafood and empanadas. There will also be live music, crafts, collectibles and face painting, pumpkin painting and more for children; 10 AM to 6 PM. For more information, call 609-884-5404 or 800-275-4278.

BEERFEST AT RESORTS CASINO HOTEL, ATLANTIC CITY
Also on September 17, more than 75 craft-brewed beers from New Jersey and beyond can be tasted at the fourth annual Beerfest at Resorts Casino Hotel, Atlantic City. All guests will receive a complimentary souvenir sampling glass to try premium craft beers including: Prohibition Ale, Pranqster, Cranberry Shandy, Not Your Father’s Root Beer, Oskar Blues, Palo Santo Marron, Belgium Freeze, Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, Anglesea Irish Red Ale, Nooner, Octoberfish and Neon Gypsy. Beer experts from many of the breweries will be on hand to answer questions. An assortment of classic “beer and food” favorites like crabby fries and  shaved prime rib sandwiches will be available for purchase. 4 PM; $30. Tickets can be purchased at ticketmaster.com and at the Resort’s Box Office. Must be 21 to participate.

CRAFT BEER EVENT
On September 21, a Craft Beer Event will be held at the Pleasantdale Chateau, 757 Eagle Rock Avenue, West Orange featuring specialty craft beers along with cuisine from executive chef Robert Albers; $95 includes tax and service charge. Reservations: 973-731-5600.
