Author: Andrea Clurfeld

Andrea Clurfeld's "Dining Companion" restaurant review column first appeared in the Asbury Park Press in 1990. Shortly thereafter, she introduced New Jersey readers to the concept of locavore eating through her "Foraging" column, and to artisan wine and food pairings through "Match Point," a column that subsequently was syndicated. The veteran journalist has published in-depth reporting on topics ranging from agriculture to criminal street gangs; her food writing has been featured in such magazines as Saveur, Gourmet and Town & Country, on websites including The Atlantic and Details, and on TV and radio broadcasts. She was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in Public Service in 2010 for her work exposing the flaws, injustices and abuses in New Jersey's property tax system. Andy has been affiliated with the James Beard Awards for more than 20 years, including serving for 15 years on its Restaurant and Chef Awards Committee. She has been editor and chief contributor for Table Hopping since January 2017
