June 2021: Jersey Shore Guide
Late last winter, as the Covid-19 pandemic began to rear its ugly head, New Jersey Monthly was faced with a tough decision about the annual Shore Guide. At the time, everything was up in the air. Would the beaches open? Restaurants? Boardwalk attractions? What would the limitations be? Faced with such uncertainty, we opted to delay publication of the Shore Guide until July. Now, with the rollout of vaccines and rollback of Covid-19 restrictions, the Shore is returning to normal, and the Shore Guide has returned to its rightful place in June. It’s a sure sign of brighter days ahead!
This year, we’ve got stories that should resonate with Shore veterans and newbies alike. We guide you to some of the Shore’s less crowded beaches, give a taste of the coastline’s coolest spots for ice cream, and suggest some tours that will add to your appreciation of the Shore’s natural and historic attractions. We also check in with the Shore’s theaters and restaurants to get their forecasts for the coming season.
